The Bus Network
The company operates throughout the Italian country with a fleet of dedicated vehicles owned by us. Our large fleet of vehicles allows us to manage the service offered precisely and effectively, ensuring the efficiency of the service with maximum punctuality; furthermore, the variety of our fleet facilitates the daily transportation of our travellers.
Gargano Railways has developed a dense network of urban and suburban road connections over the years, including nationwide services from the centers of the Gargano promontory to major Italian cities. The road transport division is part of the Cotrap Consortium (Consortium of Transport Companies of Puglia).
Since November 2004, the company has been operating the urban transport service in the Municipality of San Severo (FG). Since September 2005, the company has been operating the urban transport service in the Municipality of Manfredonia under the contract of the regional consortium COTRAP together with the company ACAPT.
Buses used for rental with driver are also authorized to perform public service as escort on national interest bus lines.

The Fleet
Ferrovie del Gargano’s primary goal is the continuous improvement of service quality through technological innovation and operational efficiency: our state service vehicles are equipped with AC power sockets, Wi-Fi, Snack service, Media, Air Conditioning, WC, Luggage storage, Bike transport and, last but not least, seat reservation.
Iveco Bus
State-operated – Inter-urban
There are 140 Iveco buses (six of which are hybrid) purchased by the Company with the support of the Puglia Region, joining the first 45 acquired some years ago.
These are IVECO Crossway vehicles, 12 m in length, optimised for inter-urban services and therefore equipped with all the comforts required even for longer journeys. The vehicles can carry up to 83 passengers, 45 of whom seated.
All buses are wheelchair accessible, thanks to a fully low-floor front section and easy boarding for passengers with mobility difficulties. The wheelchair ramp is manual and therefore always operational. The vehicles are also equipped with an air conditioning system and a passenger counting system installed at both the boarding and alighting doors.
The buses are also fitted with a rear-view camera with a display on the driver's dashboard, to assist manoeuvring even in low-visibility conditions.
The engines are diesel, with emissions compliant with Euro VI standards. Particular attention has been paid to the environment: these buses also meet environmental directives and feature solutions designed to make travel easier for passengers, especially those with mobility difficulties. This commitment allows the Company to concretely address the needs of users with motor disabilities, as well as elderly passengers who require barrier-free, accessible routes.

For the urban services of Manfredonia and San Severo, the Ferrovie del Gargano fleet includes OTOKAR KENT CNG buses, designed to effectively meet the needs of both public and private transport operators seeking high-performance solutions with optimised operating costs.
Reliable and functional, equipped with cutting-edge technology and capable of offering a high level of comfort for both driver and passengers, these vehicles are available in multiple interior configurations.
The KENT buses thus enable operators to make a concrete contribution to achieving the decarbonisation goals for public transport in the cities of San Severo and Manfredonia.
